Brookings, Oregon is 6 miles north of the California border on Hwy 101 and is a central point for visiting numerous wilderness areas, including the Kalmiopsis Wilderness area, Loeb State Park, Harris Beach State Park, Jedidiah Smith State Park and the Redwood National Forests.. Known for it's mild seasonal climates, Brookings features activities year-round.

In the Summer months you can take a trip up the Rouge River on one of the Mail Boat tours. Or spend time sea kayaking up the Chetco River while you watch for wildlife. There are many ways to enjoy the warm summer ocean breezes.
